A new executive board for the IGBMC PhD students and postdoctoral association
Gianni Zanardelli, a PhD student in Nacho Molina’s team, has been elected President of the Student and Post-Doc Board (SPB) of the IGBMC for the 2025–2026 term.
He will be supported by Léa Bouhelier, Secretary, and Eva Meyer, Treasurer. Together, they aim to continue existing activities, launch new initiatives, and revive the association’s flagship events, such as the symposium and the retreat.
An ambitious program that will only come to life with the help of motivated volunteers. The team is therefore calling on everyone who wishes to get involved and contribute to energizing the SPB community.

The goals of the new SPB for the 2025–2026 period:>
1 : Continue what has already been working well at the SPB for years: Poster Session,
Language Lunch, Games Night, and more recently, Tea Time...
2 : Pursue the one-off events set up by the previous board: workshops and the organization of
a 3rd SPB Symposium in 2026.
3 : Develop new activities such as Olympiads and other artistic activities (for example, the
clay-painting Tea Time brought together around fifty participants in October 2025).
4 : Welcome newcomers.
5 : Organize meetings with master’s students in February–March 2026 during Tea Time.
6 : Organize an SPB retreat (if there are enough volunteers to help with the organization).
We need volunteers!
To develop, organize, and implement all these projects and activities, the SPB needs you,
students and postdocs—to keep these initiatives alive throughout the year at the institute. The
more volunteers there are, the more activities can be offered.
Join a team of around twenty volunteers, where kindness, inclusivity, and a positive
atmosphere come first.
Enhance your CV by highlighting your experience within the association (possibility to validate
transversal training hours for PhD students).
Reminder: All activities are open to IGBMC staff, whether students or not (except for the
symposium and the retreat).
