From Origin to Invasion: Evolutionary and Spatial Determinants of Kidney Cancer

Tom Mitchell will present a synthesis of his work over the past decade, tracing the evolutionary trajectories of kidney cancer from cell of origin, through cancer initiation, to successive clonal expansions. He will highlight how patient-specific cancer risk underpins these evolutionary dynamics. Finally, he will introduce how spatial biology can be used to understand how tissue microenvironments reprogram cellular states and predict response to therapy.
