Centre of Integrative Biology
To reinforce the excellence of its research, the IGBMC will continue to invest in the development of modern technologies in order to provide the best technological environment for its teams. This objective should be achieved with the construction of a new building in 2012, the "Centre for Integrative Biology" (CBI) hosted by the IGBMC and funded by the Alsace region and the French Government.
This state of the art centre will provide a leading-edge technological environment to better understand the functioning of biological systems, from the atomic, molecular, tissular scales up to small animals. It will primarily host the Strasbourg antenna of the INSTRUCT network, a European infrastructure network for structural biology. This structure has also been selected at the national level in the context of the "National infrastructures in biology and health" project call in the Investments for the Future (FRISBI project). This new construction will also offer new space for the recruitment of research teams, thus enabling the development and reinforcement of new strategic scientific themes proposed in the context of the LabEx.
