Living in Strasbourg

Located in the heart of Europe close to the German border, the city of Strasbourg is a cosmopolitan and multicultural city.

Strasbourg is the 7th largest city in France and is the seat of several European institutions (European Parliament and Council of Europe), and its momentum continues to grow. A stone's throw from the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Wine Route, Strasbourg is also known for its warm and friendly lifestyle. With a particularly rich historical and cultural heritage (the entire centre is classified as a world heritage site), it attracts many tourists throughout the year. Strasbourg is also host to the largest university in France in terms of the number of students (more than 42,000) and personnel. Each year, the University of Strasbourg attracts numerous students from all around the world (20% of students come from abroad).

With a strong academic base and forward advanced research, the region also attracted many innovative companies.
