High-throughput screening

This core facility develops different High throughput technologies to considerably accelerate genome functional exploration.  Its leading activity consists in modulating gene expression of cultured cells in order to identify those involved in main cellular functions and discovering new therapeutic targets. For this, scientists transiently inactivate genes by using synthetic small interfering RNA libraries or subject cells with different small molecule compound treatments. Then, using High Content Analysis associated with automated fluorescence microscopy-based imaging integrated in an automated line, they perform high-throughput screening of cellular phenotypes.
