Summary:
Why are there still so few women in the top echelons of academia? This has been a topic of debate and research over the last decades. But despite a number of targeted actions things have not really changed significantly, progress is excruciatingly slow. What are the main factors that hold women back and what can be done to counteract them on the personal and institutional level? In my talk I will outline a few of the reasons and what needs to change to make academia and our societies equitable.
