Organisation

The IGBMC is a joint research unit affiliated to the CNRS, INSERM and the University of Strasbourg (UMR CNRS 7104 - UMR-S 1258). The supervisory bodies of the Institute have also created an Economic Interest Grouping, the European Centre for Research in Biology and Medicine, with the aim of facilitating the management of the unit and guaranteeing the operation of its numerous equipment and technical resources.

Governance

An institute specialising in life sciences

The Institute is directed by Frédéric Dardel, Director of the UMR IGBMC and Deputy Director of the GIE CERBM. He is assisted by Françoise Lagriffoul (Director General of Services) and Sandrine Testaz (Executive Director).

The scientific activities of the Institute are structured into four research departments and the technical resources are organised into three major technical platforms.
