Postdoctoral researcher position in Functional Genomics

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the “Genomic and epigenomic regulation of cell fate” research group. Our overall aim is to better understand how cellular identity is determined by macromolecules acting on chromatin such as transcription factors and epigenetic regulators, both in physiological and pathological conditions.

In the context of a project funded by the French Research Agency (ANR), you will characterise a potential new class of transcriptional regulators sensing A/T nucleotide content of target genes. Specifically, you will be in charge of designing and executing high-throughput screens in cellular models using two independent approaches based on proteomics (DNA pulldown/mass spectrometry) or CRISPR/Cas9 perturbation coupled with singe-cell transcriptomics (Perturb-seq). Promising hits identified in these screens will be further characterized at the molecular and cellular levels using genetic engineering, biochemical and phenotypic assays.

The laboratory is part of the Functional Genomics & Cancer department within the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC). You will benefit from an international and diverse scientific environment, as well as state-of-the-art facilities including genomics, bioinformatics, proteomics, microscopy, flow cytometry and cell culture.

Application procedures

The position is available from March 2026 (starting date to be negotiated with the selected candidate). Interviews are expected mid-January.

Applications including CV (1), cover letter (2), and contact details of at least two referees who are familiar with your scientific work (3) should be sent by email directly to Raphaël Pantier (pantierr@igbmc.fr). Candidates can also contact the laboratory for additional information regarding the research project.

Application deadline: 5th January 2026
