Nacho Molina is the group leader of the Stochastic Systems Biology Lab. With a background in theoretical physics, Nacho Molina pursued a PhD in computational biology at the University of Basel under the supervision of Prof. Erik van Nimwegen. During this time, he received exceptional training in Bayesian statistics, machine learning, and gene regulation. Following the completion of his PhD, Nacho Molina undertook postdoctoral training at EPFL in the team of Prof. Felix Naef, collaborating closely with the team of Prof. Ueli Schibler at the University of Geneva. Subsequently, he was awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s Fellowship to establish an independent research group at the University of Edinburgh. Most recently, Nacho Molina secured the INRT Chair of Excellence and the IDEX Chair for Attracting Research to create an interdisciplinary program integrating cutting-edge computational and experimental methodologies at the IGBMC.
