Johann Böhm, winner of the Académie Rhénane Prize

Prix et distinctions |

Johann Böhm is the recipient of the Académie Rhénane's Science Prize, announced the organization on June 17. Highlighting Alsace's excellence, this prize rewards the scientist's contribution to the understanding of tubular aggregate myopathies. To overcome this genetic disease, Johann Böhm helped identify its genetic basis, understand its development and develop proof-of-concept therapies. The latter led to the publication of a patent. Previously, other IGBMC scientists have also been laureates in this category: Agnès Bloch-Zupan, in 2017 and Hélène Puccio, in 2014.
