Complex Atomic Structure of Human TIP60C, a Key Player in Chromatin Structure Regulation

Actualités |

In an article published in Nature, scientists utilized cryo-electron microscopy to observe, at atomic resolution, a critical complex involved in chromatin structure remodeling in humans, TIP60C. Unlike in yeast, where these functions are separated into two distinct complexes, TIP60C combines the activities of both complexes into a unique trilobed structure. This research provides innovative insights into the specific functioning of this remodeler in humans and opens new therapeutic avenues.
