The « Double Cursus Médecine-Sciences » is an MD-PhD programme initiated in 2013 in the context of the Initiative of Excellence awarded to the University of Strasbourg.

The programme is opened to medical students willing to follow a scientific curriculum with a Master’s degree and PhD.

IGBMC is one of the research institute hosting MD-PhD students for research internships and PhD projects.

Collaborations and networks

The MD-PhD program of the University of Strasbourg is one of the founding member of the National Netwoork of MD-PhD programs that was initiated in 2016.

Seven members are now affiliated:

École de l’Inserm Liliane Bettencourt, Programme Médecine-Sciences ENS-PSL-Pasteur-Curie, Médecine-Sciences Université de Paris, Médecine-Sciences Université Lyon 1 - ENS, Ecole Santé-Sciences Université de Bordeaux,  and Double Cursus Rabelais Santé-Sciences Université de Montpellier.
